Dr. Amy Albrecht taught high school science for 1.5 years and worked as a chemist for North Dakota Department of Health for 4 years. She has a PhD in Biochemistry/Molecular biology from University of North Dakota, and he joined CSU in 2009. She has conducted prostate cancer research projects, and Amy’s current research project investigates the effects of alternative treatments on breast cancer and the link between spirituality and health of Charleston Southern University Students. She has been married to Mark Albrecht since 1997 and has 6 children.

Ben Phillips

Ben Phillips is the Dean of the College of Christian Studies at Charleston Southern University. He holds a Ph.D in Systematic Theology and Preaching from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ben has over 15 years experience as a pastor and interim pastor, and served on the faculty of Southwestern from 2005-2019 before coming to CSU in July 2019. His primary area of study is the theology of preaching.

He served as a pastor near Edenton, North Carolina (2000-2008) and has taught short-term in Christian institutions in Uganda, Cameroon, Ethiopia and Moldova.
